I Had a medical issue and one of the lead paramedic gentleman was very very rude to me!
I have been sick n puking and could not get to hospital! I had 2 mixed drinks 6 hours before they came and then after hearing that.. the man was raising his voice to me because I couldn’t folllw directions well..
well:
It’s was raining, I had been in and out of my shower trying to self care n not call er services!
So.. I have a few autoimmune diseases and they had me outside in the cold wet rain with only a tshirt n one of their blankets.. hospital thin blanket!!
I was in PAIN AND FREEZING CREATING MORE PAIN IN MY RAYNAUDS being activated by the cold!!!
Then proceeded to tell the hospital I was just drunk!!!
Finally after hospital fiasco, directly was interpreted by their comments of 2nd all mixed drinks 6hrs before!!
Very aggressive with sick people!!!
Sick people have a hard time following directions!
What this man and people don’t know is I was a registered nursed back in my career day! And for a medical EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDER SHOULD NOT HAVE HIS HOME ATTITUDE AT WORK!!
Btw after hospital I went to the better hospital in town n was diagnosed with severe upper respitory infection which created my severe vertigo and vomiting violently!!
Thanks boss man!!
You should be either replaced or sent to a lot more interpersonal communications with the sick and maybe even the sick and senior citizen senerio!!
I do not recommend calling them with the big bald guy in charge! If you possibly can call a neighbor or family member because he is atrocious with the sick

Last night was my first experience in an ambulance. San Luis Ambulance transferred me from SLO to Standford Hospital in San Francisco a 3+ hour drive. Paramedics David and Conner were excellent in their care for me. They made me feel safe and secure and respectful of my medical emergency situation. Top rated Ambulance service.

The Medics were wonderful! I had an accident with several broken bones and a lot of pain. The Medics calmed me down, gave me medicine and joked with me a lot. 5 stars for that.
But when I got the bill, I tried to contact the Ambulance service regarding some questions. I never got any answer and I'm super disappointed with that. I can't call because I'm from Germany, so Mail is my only option. So sad I did not receive any answer and couldn't clarify.

On one of the hardest days of our life, we needed help from San Luis Ambulance for our unresponsive six year old daughter. The EMTs and paramedics were kind and patient, reassuring and knowledgeable. We had to follow behind as she rode alone in the ambulance. When we got to the hospital, they had kindly given her a stuffed animal to cuddle and kept her calm when she regained consciousness without us there. Of course, this all has a cost, and when we called to arrange payment the response we got was incredibly kind and understanding. I wouldn't hope to do it again, but I'm so thankful for all the help provided.

Slo County has one of the highest base rates for an ambulance in the country. Though this is not the fault of San Luis Ambulance (directly) I wish the medics would at least have mentioned that a few miles in their vehicle would cost me nearly 4k...I would have walked. Get an uber folks unless you're bleeding out.

For 3 minute ride without any medical procedures performed, San Luis ambulance service charged me $3015. I was in a minor car accident traveling from Oregon to California. Once again, they didn't take my blood pressure they didn't check if for any injuries, they literally drove me 3 minutes away and dropped me off at a hospital. Now, they are harassing me. Gotta love private companies who profit on tragedy. If there are any class action suits pending, I am all for joining.

That was my first experience with this service . I would hope more empathy’ for a person in mental crisis. They even let me walk to the truck by myself. No help, sometimes you paramedics don’t know how hard of time a person is needing care and someone who cares. So, be helpful and kind I just hope I never need your service again.

My ex-wife took my son to the hospital. They wanted to transfer him to Santa Maria for the night to be monitored. At the time she did not have a vehicle so they offered to give her a ride. A few months later I received a bill for $1500. I called and called and they would only argue with me. I said this has nothing to do with me. And then gave it to collections. A single father of three I have paid over $3000 and still paying. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT!
