Rather have died then rely on these sad sacks. You can tell who isn't cut for a career in this service if they have the maturity level of a toddler. They are as bad as the hospital they left me at.

About a month ago my family experienced a tragic loss that unfortunately required the services of American Ambulance in Visalia. American Ambulance, the fire station and VPD was at my uncle house prior to my arrival. My uncle lay on the floor while several EMT were “working on him” unsure what the meant as the officer prevented me from entering the residence. My aunt began to explain to me what was happening and was in hysterics. Their son who is nonverbal was walking in and out of the house worried about his unresponsive father. Approximately 5 minutes after watching people stand around my uncles body, and seeing their equipment sitting outside (2 emergency bags and the gurney) I asked, “why aren’t they getting him to the hospital? What’s taking so long?” the officer replied “ma’am, let the professionals do their job.” Hearing this while watching the “professionals” do their job made me upset and I said I’m a professional too (as my profession is in the medical field as well). I began to record, and continued to ask why they were not preparing him to be taken to the hospital “why is he still on the floor? Why isn’t he on the gurney yet? Get him to the hospital!” They began to move a little faster and I heard someone say bring the gurney up let’s get ready to transport him”. a young man (employee of American ambulance) who was inside the house walked outside to the gurney with the emergancy bag and began to rummage through the bag. He was drawing up a medication with a needle in a very low lit area (it was around 6PM already dark out). I heard someone else ask for the back board and me being upset I responded “that should have been the first thing he was on” my mom and sister were both talking to me and trying to rationalize the situation and the EMT that was drawing up the medication turns towards me and states “would you like me to have them escort you off the premises?” Or to something of that effect.. which obviously made me more upset. I asked him “why are you talking to me? Do your job! I’m not doing anything to you” my mom began to tell me to be quiet and I expressed to her that there was no reason for him to address me except pure EGO! I wasn’t in his way nor was I speaking to him. I watched him draw up medication for my uncle who was about 10 paces away (he walked back and forth for this medication that should have been with him in the living room. He then stopped what he was doing to address me shaving valuable seconds off of what could have saved my uncles life!) he continued to speak quietly and walked back inside, they then began to pick my uncle up and place him on the gurney. By this time It’s been about 10 minutes since I arrived and my uncle is still unresponsive. As they walk my uncle to the ambulance, The same young EMT that was argumentative with me earlier approaches my uncles son (my cousin who is non verbal) and begins to ask him questions about his dad. My cousin just stared and I approach him and tell the EMT he’s non verbal and answered his question. He completely ignored me and continued to attempt to ask my cousin questions. I called my mom and aunt to speak with him because he was not able to communicate and remain professional with me.

On July 3rd my father was in a fatal car accident. His car caught fire, and his body had to be recovered by the local mortuary. We received a bill, from this ambulance company for services rendered for $500 after his death. I confirmed via the mortuary and the accident report that were no services rendered by this company. When I called to clear the bill up I was told that they would just “send him to collections”. We continue to receive bills, and today I spoke with a supervisor named Marlene. Marlene advised me that she could not explain serviced rendered to me, and was absolutely lacking any human empathy or customer service skills. I asked her if she thought it was ok to take my money, but not tell me what we would be paying for. She then tried to claim the call was breaking up and she could not hear me. She advised me she wanted me to fax over power of attorney, to explain why we are being sent a bill when they provided zero services. So this company feels its ok to 1. Send a bill to family members of someone who died a horrific and tragic death without explanation as to why. 2. They then send it to collections and that company send the bill to family members, again with zero services rendered. 3.speak to these family members as if they are owing them something without an explanation. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of empathy and even common courtesy displayed by Marlene. How absolutely disgusting for a company to try and profit from family members when they did absolutely nothing. My father did not call for services, nor did he receive any after his death. Trying to process this this horrific event is stressful enough without receiving continuous bills as a reminder. The fact that you would willingly take my money ,but lack the communication skills to explain the charges is absolutely disgusting. The reason why it cannot be explained is simple. This company did NOTHING to charge this bill, but will hold out its hand with a spiteful mouth and ask for money. Shameful, disgusting and cruel.

My fiancé called the ambulance out for my roommate who is deaf. They made my fiancé dress him and carry him all the way through the house they just stood around and didn’t do their job. They seen that my fiancé uses a cane. They know that we were all sick and did nothing at all .now My fiancé has injuries to his right arm, and his back from Lifting our roommate up and carry him through the house. They will be seeing us in court. Already got an attorney!!! They need new ppl working for them. God bring ur wrath upon these evil people. I feel for all these people on here and what they have had to face with this company

Never will trust EMS after the unbelievable experience i have experienced as a disabled veteran in crisis. Both of which are actively trying to stay awake the whole time. They miss heard me in my emotional state. Due to their lack of professionalism my situation is immensely worse. I’ll be seeking legal action against each as well as the company. Disgusting how your EMS treated a disabled veteran.

My brother has been hospitalized for 3 days and is unresponsive. I don’t appreciate your EMTs showing up and telling me I could drive him to the hospital myself without even checking his vitals. I called because he was lethargic and when he got to the hospital they thought he was having a stroke because his blood pressure was in the 200s. He was also hypoglycemic. I should’ve just drove him myself? this is not the first time they have responded and been rude and arrogant. Every time I call for an ambulance my brother is admitted to the hospital for weeks, because I am a nurse and I know when he needs to go. I would never use emergency resources for minor issues. I understand that the first responders have been put in a terrible position of having to triage and encourage people not to go to the hospital because of COVID and staffing issues. But the recommendation for me to take him myself was made within a minute of walking into my home and without even checking VITAL signs. I have it all on camera. VITALS are the first and most basic step of an assessment. I wonder if they would have told me to take him myself if they had actually checked his vitals. They took him after I insisted but still hadn’t checked his vitals upon departure of my home.

Had to stop by on my way through town. I've herd nothing but good things about this place. If you come here you have to try the #7 with extra green sauce! Also, If you tell them its your birthday, they sing and bring you ice cream! Waiter kinda had an attitude though 8/10.
