The crew which arrived to bring me home after an ankle reconstruction were excellent HOWEVER we were all left in a dangerous situation by the management team.
My cast was not closed after my ankle reconstruction and as such we opted for a private ambulance to bring me home and into the house. The crew were not informed by their head office about the difficult entrance to my house even though we had been explicit about both this and how much I weigh.
We ended up with my 3 year old being left alone in the house while my partner had to assist the crew in bringing me in.
If I had been dropped it would have been catastrophic for my leg and any of the crew/my partner could easily have been injured. There was no risk assessment done in advance and the lead crew repeatedly voiced that 2 crews should have been sent.
We had to pay for carpet cleaning because of the thick mud that was left up the stairs from the stair climber.
The crew had been told by head office that it was just a few stairs into my house and I would likely use crutches which was completely incorrect.
This was a very, very dangerous situation and I felt truly panicked the entire time.
Medi4 are denying any responsibility for the mistakes which were made.

Ambulance broke down on the M3 transporting my bed bound mother-in-law, causing her significant distress. Communication from the company was very poor, and we did not receive the courtesy of an apology in the days following from the management team. Would urge extreme caution if considering using this company.

Wow We cannot thank Medi 4 enough. My husbands last wish was to go to the beach & drink a pint of beer in a pub. Our paramedics were Natalie & Adrian were absolutley amazing. They made my husband feel so special & looked after him so well medically . I just cant praise them enough from the start of the process to the finish. I would recommend Medi 4 to everyone & if needed would not hesitate to use them again. Thankyou all at Medi 4.

I was so vulnerable and scared, they made me feel safe, they made me believe that everything would be fine just by the way they care and at any moment I felt like a heavy burden. Amazing service, i hope I won’t need it again but if i did, I would ask for them!
